Reminisces.

Shall blog on the essence of my sweet seventeenth brithday barbeque event. Yes i was depressed on that day. But no doubt did i enjoy the bbq. It was only at night when it was close to being over that i felt down. Honestly, it's one of those days where things could not have gotten any better because it was already the best, but you still demand more. I was that small kid whining for more. Well, many things don't go the way you want it to because you planned it. You wanted it to go that way and only that way. The event was good with an unexpected 18 friends turning up. Yet i still wanted something more though it was already memorable.
I wanted it to last the entire night. That was my only desire. The great music screaming so hair-standing clear from the surround speakers with it's max without distortion, and the smell of freshly barbequed chicken pain-stakingly marinated by my own the night before. Stares of passer-bys fill my pit as they slow down their pace while walking past, obviously attracted by the great music. The laughter and loud talking by friends would fill the atmosphere with joy, in the peace of east coast beach where gentle waves washed up the shore and late night cyclists speed through the cycling track.
Perhaps i miss too much of these once in a minute experience. Every bbq that i have a part of, i would retire for a few minutes and quietly stand by the cycling track, staring and trying to capture the essense of the bbq. And that is the moment that i love the most about a bbq, apart from planning and setting it up. (:
