From as long as I can remember, there are always landmarks of a year which I really look forward to. My Birthday. Christmas. New Year. Chinese New Year. Yep. Christmas and Chinese New Year especially. From young, I've always looked forward to these two occasions because of the family gathering. It's the only 2 times of the year which I get to see all my cousins. I still remember the stupid things that the five of us will do. We're always wrecking the entire neighbourhood of my grandma's. We'd loiter, start campfires, play block catching, "drive" a grass-cutting vehicle before crashing it, throw things around, and just pretty much have fun. Over the years, some of my dad's brothers stopped meeting together at my grandma's and the talking and hanging with the cousins kind of died off. And right now, we're all not even meeting on these "special" days anymore. It'd honestly be nice if things were the same as the past, but we know that it won't be. I really genuinely miss those days. I mean, I've always believed that Christmas and CNY are family events where the entire extended family comes together to catch up. But, it's now just a memory which can't happen again. It'll really be nice to just turn back time and experience it all over again, exactly the same. Sigh.
